Josie’s Blessing in a Box is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2021 by UNC Charlotte student Josie Perdue. The organization addresses food insecurity by installing and maintaining Blessing Boxes—accessible, 24/7 mini pantries stocked with nonperishable food and essential hygiene items. Currently, there are ten Blessing Boxes serving communities across the Triad region of North Carolina.

By sponsoring a community, you enable the placement of a Blessing Box in a neighborhood lacking consistent access to food resources. Your sponsorship covers the costs of materials, installation, and initial stocking, ensuring that individuals and families have immediate access to necessities. This initiative not only provides sustenance but also fosters a sense of community
and support.
Although we have a PayPal Donation setup you don’t have to donate money to make a meaningful impact. Donating essential items to Josie’s Blessing in a Box helps keep our boxes stocked and our communities supported. Volunteers are the backbone of Josie's Blessing in a Box. Opportunities include Box Maintenance, Donation Drives, and Community Outreach.
